Cesar Peixoto is keen to dispel the myth that Wolves’ injury crisis is down to his training methods, and he came prepared with notes in his pre-match press conference to prove it.
The Wolves head coach was quizzed on the number of injuries, and the fact that his team has seen four players suffer from MCL knee injuries this season.
Peixoto brought notes to explain the different kinds of injuries and that Wolves have had minimal muscle knocks. When asked by journalists to see his notes, the head coach happily handed them over as he defended his methods.
“In terms of injuries, I want to say that muscular injuries, we have only three,” he said.
“The other eight we have had are traumatic injuries.
“It is different, something we cannot control. Sometimes football has contact.
“It is not from the way they are training, or that we are not managing them well.
