A frustrating 3-1 loss at Molineux was met by boos from the home supporters as Wolves suffered consecutive Championship defeats.
Wolves did fight back to 1-1 and had a huge opportunity to score when Adam Armstrong was free in the box from a matter of yards, but his effort was straight at the goalkeeper.
Peixoto, however, does not want to single out any moments, mistakes or decisions from his players following the defeat.
He said: “I don’t point the finger at any player. I’m the man responsible for this result, it’s enough. Not Adam, the players put in a lot of effort to try to win, Adam works a lot for the team.
“Adam wants to score more than everyone, for sure, and I think the goalkeeper made a good save, and we didn’t score, but the responsibility for the result is on me.”
Jose Sa also dropped the ball from a corner in the build-up to the first Bolton goal, while Ladislav Krejci did not cover himself in glory for either of the first two finishes.
“Everyone, me included, has to do better, for sure,” Peixoto said.
“Everyone, not Sa, not Adam, every player and I have to do better, we have to win this game.”
Peixoto believes Sa was fouled as he dropped the ball for the first goal and, similar to other times this season, he says the messaging from the officials is inconsistent.
He said: “The referees said at the beginning of the season that when the goalkeepers this year are blocked, it’s a foul.
“But they don’t whistle this kind of foul, and today, again, we conceded the goal.”
Wolves had more possession but flattered to deceive for big portions of the game against a side they were favourites to beat.
But Peixoto is adamant his side deserved more from the fixture.
“We are all frustrated because of the result,” he added.
“I think we deserve more, we were the better team.
“In the first 10 minutes we conceded two chances to Bolton and after they scored. I think we dominated the game. We created a lot of chances, a lot of crosses, a lot of situations to score in the first half and in the second half.
“We scored, 1-1, and after we had two situations to score. I think the moment of the game is when Adam shot, and the goalkeeper made a great save. If we score the second goal, I think it’s a different game.
“Bolton were only defending and trying to put the ball out, the two times they go to our pitch, they score in the second half, and after that we try more with the heart and with the brain, but I think we have more possession, more shots, more chances to score, more corners, more everything, but they score, and they are more clinical than us.”
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Gomes missed the match due to an injury, but Peixoto is hopeful of having the winger available again soon.
Peixoto said: “He’s better than we expected. Maybe next week he’ll start training, but I’m not a doctor.
“It’s an injury in his foot.”

Nothing to like about that team, gutless, fold under first sign of pressure! The squad needed gutting but Fosun knew best & wanted to do it on the cheap, it’s all a bed of roses when the champagne football is working at Deepdale on a sunny afternoon but the reality is they don’t have the minerals for the muck & nettles of two games a week, they think they are better than they are, they will struggle against any well drilled motivated team, Sa needs to come out of the team, time to give Virginia a game, Krecji was pathetic, full backs couldn’t cross the road, set pieces & balls around the box were embarrassing! Already playing catch up on the automatic places, Fosun need to go, the stench of defeat is now engrained in the club!
Utter BS from Cesar, can’t defend the indefensible, on paper good players, reality is they aren’t up to the demands of the current system/style of play, and as a result some players that would excel elsewhere in a different system look awful for us at the moment. He’s not going to get enough players of the standard he needs so he needs to start looking at changing the system to get the best out of the players he has. Before this blip the results have flattered the team and papered over the cracks, most of our league goals have come from forced errors/pressing the goalkeeper, own goals and penalties take them away and it shows a side struggling in front of goal.
