Wolves sit just above Bristol on goals scored in the Women’s Super League 2 table, currently fifth after five games, but Sunday’s opponents are expected to be one of the league’s favourites this season.
McNamara is expecting a stern test and has called on his players to be ready from the very first whistle.
He said: “We’re still early on in the season, and I know they haven’t started as well as they would have hoped, but when you’re playing Newcastle and Sunderland in the first two, I think it’s always tough.
“So we’re still only five games in, I think in another five games it’ll probably show, the table will be more real as to what it’s going to look like.
“They are a top side, Charlotte’s got them playing brilliantly, and full of quality, attacking quality, and I think arguably one of the best midfielders in the league in Emily Syme.
“It’s a packed squad full of great players, but we are confident. We’ve come off the back of a positive result last week, and there isn’t anywhere where we want to go and concede before we even get there. We want to go and try and cause upsets wherever we go, try and stay in the game for long periods.
“Obviously, it’s a huge pitch down at Ashton Gate, so we’re going to need to stay focused, but we’ll go down there confident as ever.”

McNamara added: “At some point we need to close out these small details, these small margins that are costing us, and I’ll challenge the girls to do that this weekend.
“If we are not on it for 95 minutes on Sunday, Bristol will punish you. Whether that’s in possession or whether that’s on the transition of the ball, they will really hurt you.
“So we’ve got to make sure we’re trying to iron out those individual areas that are seeing us drop points, and hopefully that can start this weekend.”
