Sunday’s match at Molineux is set to be a fierce occasion as the two teams play each other for the first time in the league in front of fans for 14 years.
When they faced off in the FA Cup two years ago at the Hawthorns, the game was paused in the second half due to fan trouble, with some home supporters coming onto the pitch.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash at Molineux, both clubs have urged supporters to focus on the football and creating an impressive atmosphere - with the threat of lifetime bans for any fans causing significant problems.

The Black Country derby is one of English football’s oldest rivalries and remains a fixture of great significance to both clubs and their supporters.
For generations, matches between Wolves and West Bromwich Albion have been played with immense passion, creating unforgettable occasions for players and supporters alike.
This Sunday, more than 30,000 supporters will come together at Molineux to enjoy another chapter in that proud history. Both clubs are committed to ensuring the focus remains where it belongs – on the football and the atmosphere created by our supporters.
Following the last Black Country derby in 2024, supporters responsible for unacceptable behaviour faced serious consequences. A total of 43 people were arrested, 12 people were charged and sentenced by the courts, one Football Banning Order was issued and five supporters received permanent club bans.
These outcomes demonstrate that disorder, violence and criminal behaviour carry significant consequences and will continue to be dealt with robustly by both clubs and West Midlands Police.
Supporters are reminded that anyone found engaging in violence, discriminatory behaviour, entering the pitch or trackside areas, throwing missiles, using pyrotechnics or breaching Ground Regulations risks arrest, prosecution, football banning orders and long-term or permanent exclusion from their club.
Both clubs have worked closely with the Safety Advisory Group, local authorities and police to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place for the fixture.
Supporters can expect enhanced stewarding, policing, robust ticketing controls and additional safety measures designed to protect everyone attending the match while allowing both sets of fans to enjoy the occasion.

Only using tickets purchased through official channels and for which they are eligible to use.
Sitting in the correct designated home or away area. Anyone found attempting to access, or being in an incorrect area, will be refused entry or ejected and may face further sanction.
Following the instructions of stewards and police officers.
Arriving in good time to allow for security searches and stadium entry procedures.
Reporting any unsafe, discriminatory or anti-social behaviour to the nearest steward or through the club’s reporting channels.
Following the designated routes when leaving the stadium. After the final whistle, all West Bromwich Albion supporters will be required to leave via Camp Street, while home supporters will not be able to access the area to the rear of the Steve Bull Stand. Supporters should follow the instructions of stewards and police officers.
The overwhelming majority of Wolves and West Bromwich Albion supporters attend this fixture to support their team passionately and responsibly, and we are confident that will once again be the case.

Well if the police do a similar job as the did in the cup expect trouble. Letting the albion fans come on the pitch in the first place, then allowing at least one to come right down to tbe wolves fans was an embarrassment to the force. Im sure Wolves fans like myself are furious at how the game at one point could have been abandoned due to police incompitence, I would like to think that all of the clowns we saw on the pitch have recieved the appropriate bans and the much needed drug rehabilitation treatment of those involved
