The head coach was pleased with his side’s application and attitude at Turf Moor, to overcome a one goal deficit and get back to winning ways after consecutive defeats.
But Peixoto is keen to remain calm and focus on consistency, as Wolves prepare to face Portsmouth at Molineux on Tuesday night.
“It’s only three points,” he said.
“I don’t stay too bad when I lose. I don’t stay too happy when I win, because after three days, we have a game again.
“I want to maintain this kind of feeling, this kind of behaviour. The team needs me with the right mentality and with the right stability.
“I have a lot of years as a player at the top level. I have more than a hundred games in the first division in Portugal. I have a lot of experience.
“For me, it’s three important points.
“I think in the last game, we were better than the opponent team. We lost, but if you saw the statistics, we were better in all the moments in the game. We can score, we can win, but we don’t win.
“Today, we know it’s a difficult stadium against a good team. We know it’s important for us to win, and we win, but it’s only three points.”
Fer Lopez netted the equaliser on Friday night, marking his fifth Championship goal this season.
The attacker is still getting back to full fitness after a knee problem and was taken off in the second half.
The head coach still wants to see more from his star player, who he believes can still improve.
“He’s an important player,” Peixoto said.
“He isn’t at 100 per cent, as you saw in the game. He has some difficulties with his rhythm.
“He plays the three games, not 90 minutes in the three games, but he’s not 100 per cent since he came back from the international break.
“He’s better, but he has to do more like he did in the past.
“For me, I want all the time to get better and better from him and all the team.”
