As exclusively revealed by Inside Wolves, Konan was the mystery man who Wolves were after following the exit of David Moller Wolfe to Hamburg.
The left-back is reunited with head coach Cesar Peixoto, who he played under at Gil Vicente last season.
Konan has played at the top level in Portugal and France and arrives at Molineux having represented his nation at the World Cup last summer, playing three times as the Ivory Coast reached the knockout stages in North America.
âGhislain was a player Cesar identified earlier in the window and he remained an option for us should Davidâs situation change,â said executive chairman Nathan Shi.
âWe understood Davidâs desire to play regularly and were able to facilitate that move, knowing we had a player available who Cesar knows well and trusts.
âHaving worked with Cesar and his staff at Gil Vicente, Ghislain already understands the demands of the coaching team, the playing style and how they want the team to operate.
âThat familiarity should help him settle quickly, and weâll give him all the support he needs as he adapts to the club and English football.â
Head coach Cesar Peixoto said: âIâm pleased because Ghislainâs a good player and an experienced international.
âWe were lucky at Gil Vicente to have him, and I think he has the quality to play at this level because heâs played at the highest level before.
âHe gives us capacity to stay competitive with two players per position, like I want.
âI look to the squad in the same way, because the Championship is a tough season, 46 games, and we have to have quality options to change the players.
âIf you are competitive in the week, youâre going to stay competitive at the weekend against opponent teams.â
