Wolved had one senior player too many for their 25-man squad and S.Bueno was expected to miss out - which has now been confirmed as the official squads for each club have been published by the EFL.
S.Bueno has always struggled to get into the team since joining Wolves in 2023, but last season he found regular game time under former boss Rob Edwards and was eventually voted the supporters’ player of the season.
Now, less than four months later, his Wolves future in both the short and long-term is in doubt.
The defender will need to find a new club, in a league where the transfer window is still open, or risk not playing until at least January.
The transfer window is still open in Mexico and Brazil until September 11, while a move to Portugal can also happen until their window closes on September 15.
Big-spending Saudi Arabian clubs can also sign players until October 12.
It remains to be seen if S.Bueno will leave on loan or permanently.
