Cesar Peixoto hopes to have Kieran Trippier and Adam Armstrong back for Wolves’ clash with Watford this weekend.
Trippier was a surprise omission for the draw with Portsmouth last night after picking up a small groin problem, while Armstrong has missed the last two games with a back issue.
But the head coach is hopeful of having more options this weekend as Wolves seek a much-needed home win.
“He felt something in his adductor,” Peixoto said of Trippier.
“I think it’s not too bad, but the medical department thought it’s better not to take risks with him, so we don’t lose Trippier for a lot of time.
“He felt a little pain. When he runs, he doesn’t feel it, but when he kicks the ball, he feels something.
“I hope he can play in the next game.”
Rodrigo Gomes is also sidelined with an ankle issue, while Raul Jimenez, Betrand Traore and Boubacar Traore are all currently out.
When asked if Armstrong or R.Gomes will be available on Saturday, Peixoto added: “Adam I think so. Today he ran more, with more mobility and feels well.
“Rodrigo is better, but I think he feels a little pain, a little bit. But I don’t know, I’m not a doctor.
“I think we need these kinds of options to manage the game, but we have to try to find solutions.
“Adam, I think he’s going to be ready to play on Saturday. Rodrigo I’m not sure.”
