Wolves’ Marshall Munetsi and Tawanda Chirewa inspired Zimbabwe to an incredible comeback win over Sierra Leone in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Zimbabwe found themselves 2-0 down going into the final 20 minutes on Thursday evening before Chirewa’s corner found Munetsi’s header to get them back into the game.
Just four minutes later, Chirewa finished from the edge of the box to make it 2-2 and in the 88th minute, Munetsi got on the end of a cross to secure a remarkable comeback win.
Zimbabwe next play another qualifier on Monday at 5pm against DR Congo.
Ghislain Konan was also in action, playing the full 90 minutes for Ivory Coast in their 2-0 win over Ghana. They next play on Tuesday at 8pm against Somalia.
Jordan James was in Nations League action for Wales against Portugal, taking on former Wolves stars Ruben Neves, Pedro Neto and Vitinha.
Portugal won 1-0 thanks to a Joao Felix strike and James played 77 minutes on the night, with Wales next facing Denmark at 5pm on Sunday.
In the CONCACAF Nations League, Haiti won 3-2 against Trinidad & Tobago and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde played 30 minutes as he continues his comeback from a hamstring injury. Haiti are now preparing to face Costa Rica at 12am on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Jackson Tchatchoua was an unused substitute for Cameroon in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier 3-1 win over Comoros. They play next at 8pm on Tuesday against Congo.
Several Wolves players will be in international action in the coming days, with Nasser Djiga and Burkina Faso playing Benin at 8pm tonight, while Ladislav Krejci and Czechia play Croatia on Saturday evening.
Fer Lopez and Spain under-21s will face Finland this afternoon, while Mateus Mane and Portugal under-20s play Poland on Saturday.
