Tawanda Chirewa netted just seconds after coming off the bench to seal Wolves’ comeback win at Burnley.
Jamie Vardy had given the hosts the lead as Wolves struggled for a foothold in the game.
But Fer Lopez’s fifth Championship goal of the season dragged Wolves level before the break.
The visitors were much better in the second half and took the lead through Chirewa 20 minutes from time, just moments after he stepped off the bench.
Burnley pushed for a way back into the game, but Wolves’ defence stood firm to get back to winning ways.
Analysis
Cesar Peixoto made six changes to his team following the midweek defeat to Bolton, amid a busy fixture list and number of injuries.
Among them were first starts for Ghislain Konan, Rafiki Said and Sean Neave, while Yerson Mosquera recovered from an ankle problem to make the bench.
There was a fairly good tempo early on from both sides, as Nasser Djiga was called into action to clear a good cross, before Igor shot over, while Wolves did well when a good cross from Said nearly found Neave.
The first big chance fell to Burnley following a dreadful Toti Gomes pass, as he gave it away to Largie Ramazani on half-way.
Burnley broke forward in numbers and it resulted in a Vardy shot, but Jose Sa was equal to it.
Wolves had retreated into their shell somewhat and it seemed inevitable that the hosts would score, and it only took 20 minutes to arrive.
It was an incredibly simple move as Lucas Pires was found in far too much room on the left flank, he carried it forward and found Jacob Bruun Larsen, who turned and fed Vardy for a trademark finish into the bottom corner.
Wolves were struggling to contain the Clarets and it was nearly 2-0 when Ramazani fired over from inside the box.
But an equaliser did come before half-time, thanks to some good pressing from Said who won the ball high up the pitch and Neave then crossed for Lopez to finish first time at the near post, as the ball went in off the woodwork.
Wolves finished the half better than they started it, as the teams entered the break drawing 1-1.
Burnley had a good chance early in the second half as Ramazani found space and released Bruun Larsen, but he fired over.
Moments later, Lopez forced a save out of goalkeeper Gregoire Coudert with a clever free-kick.
Wolves came close again when a corner routine was worked to Said, who had his shot saved, and from the resulting corner Djiga headed over.
Wolves had been the better side during the second half but were awaiting the moment they needed to take the lead.
Eventually it came, and it was Chirewa who netted just seconds after coming off the bench.
A terrible touch from Clarets defender Igor handed the ball to Mateus Mane, who immediately released Chirewa, and his shot found the back of the net despite a touch from the goalkeeper.
Wolves were in the ascendancy as Burnley struggled, and the home crowd expressed their anger.
Mane and Tommy Doyle both had chances to grab a third, but they failed to capitalise.
Doyle then had another chance following a good Mane run, as Marshall Munetsi won the ball back, but Doyle’s shot was deflected wide.
In the end, Wolves professionally saw out four minutes of added time to seal a much-needed three points.

We were essentially the least crap between the two teams.
As lucky a win as they come. What wrong with Cesar, his subs are way too late. Said did well but was out on his feet. Nothing has changed. Cesar still is out his depth.
