Wolves made a strong start to the game at the SEAH Stadium in Telford, as they dominated possession and looked threatening in attacking areas.
Chloe Williams came close with a shot that whistled past the post, before Mel Lawley capitalised on a defensive mistake to take aim, but goalkeeper Jacqueline Burns made a strong save.
Burnley began to pile on some pressure of their own and came close on a few occasions, most notably when Charley Docherty was inches away from meeting a free header from close range.

Anna Morphet stepped up and confidently tucked the ball away to give Wolves a 3-0 lead at half-time.

Another big chance fell to Jessica Hennessy, who headed over from a corner for the visitors.
It became a scrappy game deep into the second 45 as Burnley desperately tried to get a foothold in the fixture and Wolves kept them at arm’s length.
Wolves had some late chances to score again but in the end they kept a clean sheet and settled for an impressive 3-0 win.
